1. I would say Mr. Winfrey has a father's opinion, concerning what Mr. Graham has to offer his daughter.
However, you can never go wrong having a good looking man
as an escort when you need him...so what the heck...
it's good for everyone involved.

2. They are obviously in a committed relationship which is more than I can say about some married folk. They keep their personal business personal, and that is the way it should be. If it works for them, fine! I think if he were threatened by her achievements, he would have left a long time ago and if she thought he was in it only for the money and fame, she would have kicked him to the curve by now.

3. Even though i believe vernon only wants what is best for his daughter,i believe that oprah and stedman are in a place, at least oprah is, cause shes all out there for us to enjoy, and stedman probably aint no fool, cause if he was, our girl oprah, would not be around. They are adult people and i'm sure they are happy and content with one another.I'm almost positive that Mr.Stedman bringing something, something, to oprahs table!

4. In my opinion, Oprah is in the closet. She's a closet homosexual. She and Gayle are lovers. Stedman is just a front. Wake up, people. She'll probably come out a few years after her show is off the air. YOu have a man and you're gonna hang with a woman ALL THAT TIME? To all your special events, etc? Get real!

5. It isn't fair to judge or place blame concerning Oprah's dysfunctional love life. I've judged her work and it seems to point to a deeper problem. I'm no Robin Smith, but Oprah seems unsatisfied with the state of men. Look at "Beloved" and you'll see the larger negative statement made about all men. Perhaps, the men in Oprah's life have all let her down in some way or on some level? She never talks about her Mother and that makes we wonder what she learned about relationships? Oprah's school discriminates against innocent African boys. Why would she limit her charity to just women? Is she healing an internal wound? Her relations don't seem conventional. There could be issues of rape or pain, but these are private matters. As for Stedman, he's filling the role in Oprah's life that she desires. No powerful woman would keep a man in her life if he refused to give her exactly what she demands or desires. Oprah has the world at her feet. She requires a sensitive man, an understanding man, a tolerant man. She needs no man at all to complete her. Oprah calls the shots in all her relationships. Oprah may have deeper issues that don't require her to face our truth or reality. Oprah shapes our reality and tells our truth as it relates to her. Oprah is wrong because she does it on her terms and that makes her a Diety to some. The truth will make her free, but only she can make herself happy.

6. No one not even Mr.Winfrey, should have any comments about Oprah's love life. If she chose not to marry Stedman, that is a choice of her's at the age of 52. Oprah is at a point in her life where she is enjoying it.A good father, mother, friend, even boyfriend should have nothing to say but good things about this relationship because I am sure knowing Oprah's good heart you are not hurting for anything. Especially not a shot in the lime light.

LWilford at 1:41PM on Apr 28th 2007

7. WOW Cecil, that was heavy. I mean real heavy. Real thinking people don't usually comment. You are right, Beloved told us about Oprah and she has too in her own way. She makes her own happiness and her life just the way SHE wants it and she has the money and means to do it her way!

Ikalean at 3:04PM on Apr 28th 2007

8. It's my understanding that Stedman has a full life outside of Oprah. He has a very large family. Adult children and grandchildren, varied business ventures, charitable causes he's involved with and so forth. Oprah has a TV show, magazine, charitable pursuits, celebrities friends, numerous homes and her hair and weight issues to maintain. I don't believe they are really together that often. I believe he does his thing and she does hers and on rare occasions they come together. And, don't forget Oprah has to have her daily evening chat with her best friend Gayle. No matter how wealthy you are you still only get 24 hours in a day. I don't think she really has time for the man.

9. "...Mr. Winfrey...After all Stedman do brings ALL that Oprah needs to her BED(room)..( you don't know how much he satisfy her needs..and that is what counts for her ... )

orsine nicol at 5:53AM on Apr 29th 2007

10. Since Oprah is a blessing to so many less fortunate folks, I don't care whom or what inspires her to be so generous...as long as she continues to do so.

Papa Winfrey needs to be mindful of what he says about his daughter's personal life in public...because making a comment like that starts unneccessary dialogue! ;)

Maybe Oprah should stuff a couple of bucks in his mouth! :O

Salene at 9:04AM on Apr 29th 2007

11. To Jackie: What has Oprah done that is so foolish? A woman is my best friend, and I am all man. I'd rather trust someone who has shown me they care about my interest, and not about what they can get out of me.Steadman, Gayle and helping people make Oprah world go round. Who makes your day. Have you helped anyone less fortunate? Does your head swell up when people tell you that you are all that? Or don't they ever say that? I bet you are a loner with no friends. Just sitting around feeling sorry for yourself because no-one will give you anything.

vernon at 11:39AM on Apr 29th 2007

12. I think Karen is in love with Oprah and is jealous of her friendship with Gayle... and I think Jackie is a lonely woman with no friends.. they say misery loves company...Cecil, if you knew about her past, you would know that although she was hurt in the past, it is her mother who hurt her the most.
As far as discriminating against boys/men... she is giving the girls a head start in life whereas they probably wouldn't have one. In that culture men dominate, so why not give the girls a shot at being a success in life.
Also, how do you know she's not seeking help for whatever she is going through internally? Is it because she doesn't share her personal problems with the world? or with you for that matter?
I like Oprah, she has favor, she is blessed and she will be the first to say that all she has comes from God, she has said that over and over again. She is a blessing to others, and for that alone she will continue to be blessed. She makes me feel proud to be a black woman.

13. IT IS VERY ABNORMAL TO MAKE A WOMAN YOU'RE CONFIDANT AND BEST FRIEND WHEN YOU HAVE A MAN IN YOUR LIFE. OPRAH GIVES ALL THIS ADVICE TO OTHER PEOPLE WHEN HER OWN LIFE IS IN A SHAMBLES. HER RATINGS ARE SO BAD SHE'LL BE GOING OFF NBC SOON, THANK GOD. I'M SICK OF HER QUITE FRANKLY.

ALL THESE AFRICANS HAVE SWELLED HER HEAD WITH 'YOU'RE THE MOST POWERFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD" AND SHE HAS BECOME A REAL FOOL BECAUSE OF IT. HELL SHE IS NOT EVEN A HEAD OF STATE. HOW THE HECK CAN SHE LET PEOPLE SWELL HER HEAD WITH THAT LIE.

jackie at 12:23AM on Apr 30th 2007

14. WHY WOULD A WOMAN SPEND ALL HER TIME BEING WORRIED ABOUT THE WORD HO UNLESS SHE THINKS THE RAPPERS ARE TALKING TO HER LOL LOL

WHY SHOULD BLACK WOMEN BE OFFENDED BY THE WORD BITCH WHEN THEY CALL BLACK MEN DOGS ALL THE TIME. A BITCH IS ONLY A FEMALE DOG.

GAYLE at 12:28AM on Apr 30th 2007

15. Hey their relationship has lasted longer than many Hollywood married couple.. She needs him for something that she is keeping private, otherwise she would of gotten rid off him a long time ago.
